I'm pretty sure it's sometime in 2008. There's this really good site %26lt;sfbookcase.com%26gt; that lists science fiction and fantasy authors and their books (and their release dates). So far, this site has been pretty accurate (like the release dates of Harry Potter 7 and the Keys to the Kingdom series).
As of yet, there is no confirmed title or release date for the third book, although you are correct in that it is likely to be called ';Empire.';





However, this is only a rumour, and any release dates you have heard about are also rumours.
