In the early 80's there was a comic series that was adapted from trilogy of books. It dealt with aliens that had enslaved the earth. They lived in domes as our atmosphere was poisonous to them. Some of the humans were ';chosen'; to serve the ';masters'; inside their domed cities. The series was called ';The Tripods,'; and was evidently based on a trilogy of novellas published in the late 1960s by John Christopher - under the pseudonym Samuel Youd. The Boys' Life series were generally well-received, though criticized for its simplistic dialogue.
