While I love the Golden Compass for introducing Lyra's world and the Subtle Knife for introducing Will, there's just something about the Amber Spyglass that I find to be a notch above the rest. It was so moving and bittersweet, and has the most moving scene in the entire series. (In my opinion, that's the escape from Hades.) Which is your favorite.Which book of the His Dark Materials trilogy is your favorite?
The Amber spyglass is generally considered the worst of the three books.
The fate of worlds is in the hands of Lyra, and she decides that she has to go to the world of the dead. It comes off as selfish.
And their childish romance changes the universe so that dust no longer blows away??? Why??Which book of the His Dark Materials trilogy is your favorite?
I liked the first 2 the best. I found the end of the third one insulting to my religion. You can disagree with what I believe, after all, variety is good, right? But don't make fun of me for it.
I liked Amber Spyglass the best BECAUSE of the inflammatory religious stuff. Even if it's against your beliefs, it still encourages you to think and might even reinforce those beliefs in the end.
I like Northern Lights/Golden Compass best because I think its more exciting and you find out loads of things about Lyra's World, but I really like Amber Spyglass too! Subtle Knife is definitely my least favourite though because I found it got a bit boring at times
i love the Golden Compass and the Amber Spyglass best
I loved the amber spygalss best because well, it was longer than the others and I guess I understood everything much better after reading the first two.
