What's the difference between hack legend of the Twilight and hack trilogy?

I was in the anime convention and an amazing amv was on big screen and it really caught my attention and I was trying to watch the series but I'm confused in which order I should go.


if I have to watch the anime it would be great too!!! if you know of a site I can watch it in JAPANESE with subs it would be great.What's the difference between hack legend of the Twilight and hack trilogy?
It depends on what you mean by .hack trilogy.


I'm guessing you mean the G.U. Trilogy. Which isn't an anime, it's a CGI video adaption of the .hack//G.U. video games.


If you want to watch .hack anime, however, my suggestion would be to start with .hack//Sign, then .hack//Roots, then .hack//Legend of the Twilight. LotT is easily the worst of the three and more of a humorous, lighthearted story, whereas Signs and Roots have better plot and characters. You can also watch the Liminality OVAs but those are related to the original .hack video games so you might not understand them.
