Why is everyone so certain that there's a 3rd Star Wars trilogy out in the next few years?

They're all saying how ';the Hidden Circle'; will be out in 2011 and the old cast will be in it. I personally think it's a complete rumour. Why is everyone so certain that there's a 3rd Star Wars trilogy out in the next few years?
Sorry ';rickDVD2007'; and all you other ';pretenders'; out there but there isn't going to be anymore movies ... only in the demented and insane recesses of the mind of Mickey Suttle ... AKA ... Supershadow.

Get a life Mickey ...Why is everyone so certain that there's a 3rd Star Wars trilogy out in the next few years?
It's a long persistent rumor and I've never seen any good indication that it's true. Return of the Jedi ended the story. The hero saved the galaxy and reunited with his lost father.

I would take Star Wars VII websites and rumors as an extension of fan fiction. None of them look official and the alleged interview with George Lucas seems highly unlikely. He's NEVER that forthcoming about future projects and certainly would not have a month-specific release date 12 years in advance (5/2021). Either Lucas was feeding someone a line or more likely, the interview is completely fabricated.

I also think everyone just wants to complete the trilogy of trilogies and they're trying to Jedi mind trick Lucas in to making a third trilogy.

That all said, if there's money to be made and a story to be told, Lucas will find a way.

As for the age of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher, their characters would also be 30 years older.
Well ... it's not simply a ';rumor'; ... it is an outright flaming lie. Where are people getting this crap from ... easy ... supershadow.com ... the biggest fraud site on the net when it comes to SW info ... not one single thing found there is the truth ... this ';ep 7: The Hidden Circle'; ... a pile of trash. The man who runs the site, Mickey Suttle, is about 5.9 cans short of a 6 pack. The man is so far around the bend that he has tons of emails on his site that are supposed to be between him and Lucas ... not true, they are all made up. He claims to be an insider at LucasFilm and good friends with Lucas himself ... sure BS ... the only people that he knows from LucasFilm are their lawyers as they sue the guy on a regular basis for the crap he posts on his site.

To all the people who think Super Shadow is the real deal ... first I feel sorry for your lack of judgment ... second, go to starwars.com and type in Super Shadow in the search box ... it will give you 1000s of links that go to stories that prove beyond a shadow, excuse the pun, of a doubt that the man and his site are insanely wrong.

There is another reason ... when Lucas first wrote the SW outline it was actually 12 episodes. Two changes he made to the story eliminated half of them. The first change, combining the characters of Anakin Skywalker %26amp; Darth Vader in to one character, brought the episode number down to nine to be told in this manner: The first trilogy was to be about the rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker ... the second trilogy was to be about the rise of Luke Skywalker and the redemption of Anakin Skywalker ... the third trilogy was to be about the ';other Skywalker'; that Yoda mentions in ep V. When Lucas was writing the final duel between Luke and Vader he got stumped on how to get Luke to attack his father in a dark side fueled rage. To solve this problem he made Leia the ';other Skywalker'; and had Vader threaten her. That changed eliminated the third trilogy so the 6 we got is all we are going to get. ANYONE who says different is so full of it that it is pouring out their ears and it's a nasty brown color.

The animated series is set to debut it's second season shortly. Lucas has confirmed that he is working on a live action TV series that is set to debut in the fall of 2010 but may get pushed back until 2011. Lucas has also confirmed that they are working on sending all 6 movies of the saga back to theaters in a true 3-D format ... rumors have given that a target date of 2012 but recent rumors push that back a year or so also.

Don't be fooled by this moron Super Shadow ... he is a fraud and a joke.

May The Force Be With You ...

.
The ';real'; rumor is that Lucasfilm is working on a 3-D release of the ORIGINAL trilogy. There are NO plans for any new stories to be made into movies -- that is NOT a rumor, that is truth.

HOWEVER, since they are busy with the Clone Wars cartoon and the upcoming television series, I personally doubt they will bother with 3-D anytime soon.
Because they have been had by Supershadow ... there will not be anymore SW live action movies ... it is written in stone by Lucas ... also in his Will.
I can't believe people are still stupid enough to believe a single word from Super Shadow ... all garbage ... all of it. The guy should be shot in the leg and left in a desert to die. Well ... maybe that's a little strong but he is a total @ss
I honestly don't like star wars

but maybe it's not a rumor

Anything with ';Star Wars'; in the name will have initial success. If it has substance, it will be a lasting success. They could EASILY steer off and make a million movies between 2-3 and between 3-4. Vader is a costume, whos voice can be eaily duplicated, and I *think* Vader is the character that sell the tickets. But thats my 2 cents.
i think not ,hun.
I don't think the old cast will be in it. Harrison Ford will be 70 by then. I don't think he's going to be creditable as an action hero. The rumor about the movie is true, that there might be one, but there is no possible way to make a movie with the original cast in it. Most of them are over 60+ now and ready to collect social security, not make another three parts of the Star Wars series.

George Lucas shouldn't have wanked off and wasted 20 years between #4 and #1. I don't think he knew it would be as successful, either, or he may have counted 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 opposed to 4,5,6,1,2,3,7,8,9
Star Wars was originally meant to be 9 movies (three trilogies). I haven't heard any rumor about the old cast being in it. In fact, I had heard Lucas wasn't planning on making the next three. Personally, after waiting so long for the disappointment that was Phantom Menace, I don't really care. I have no faith in the next trilogy being any good.
